David Cullis led the successful MBO that took XeBusiness (trading as Kewill-Xetal) out of Kewill Systems Plc (LSE listed) in December 1999.
Prior to that he was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (Europe) of Kewill's E-Commerce Division comprising five companies, the fastest growing and most profitable part of Kewill's UK operations.
David joined the Kewill Group in 1990 as Managing Director of Kewill-Xetal and developed the E-Commerce business within Kewill from virtually a standing start, leading a team that grew revenues and profits exponentially over a nine year period.
Over this period he worked closely with the Chairman and Finance director of Kewill Systems Plc to implement an M & A strategy that resulted in four E-Commerce companies being acquired over a three year period. David then integrated and developed these companies (including Kewill - Xetal) within the framework of a Kewill E-Commerce division. In his last financial year with Kewill (1998/99) divisional revenues grew by a record 44% and profits by 36%.
Prior to joining Kewill in 1990 David held senior general management, sales and marketing management positions in the IT sector, most notably serving as Sales Director, Head of Marketing and Customer Services and Software Director with the UK subsidiary of a German multinational - Mannesmann Kienzle that was acquired by Digital Corporation (now part of HP/Compaq) in 1991.
